JIM LEWISMANAGING DIRECTOR
An Aboriginal man belonging to the Gija language group in the East Kimberley, Jim has worked in the mining, academic, non-government and government sectors. He holds a BA in Applied Science – Aboriginal Community Development & Management, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Community Development. He was a senior lecturer at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies at Curtin University 1992 – 1995, and served in management roles in both State and Federal government departments between 2004 and 2009.

In 2009, he was seconded to the Office of Northern Australia in Canberra, where he worked on the team that managed the assessment process to identify priority projects for the $195m East Kimberley Development Package, aimed at improving the social and economic participation of local and Indigenous people in the region. In 2010, Jim was part of the management team of Gooring-Jimbila Contracting, a joint venture between McMahon Contractors and the traditional owners of the Argyle Diamond Mine (ADM) in the East Kimberley, which secured an infrastructure maintenance contract at ADM.

This involvement led to Jim founding the Dadaru group of companies in 2011 in order to achieve his vision of improved Aboriginal employment participation through training, development and employment support.
Jim is a current board member of the Wunan Foundation, a regional Indigenous community development organisation based in the East Kimberley, and he is an advisor for several Indigenous businesses in Western Australia. He is also a director on the board of the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia Limited, along with East Kimberley Job Pathways, who are the job service providers for the East Kimberley region of WA.

A Shire councillor for the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley for 11 years, Jim also held the office of Shire Deputy President for several years.

JOSH LEWISDIRECTOR
A proud representative of the Gija language group in the East Kimberley, Josh’s experience covers the tourism, mining, and power sectors. He has worked with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and has established extensive networks throughout the Kimberley and Western Australia.

Josh holds a Cert III in Power Distribution – High Voltage Electrician, and he has worked for Horizon Power and Western Power as a Senior Linesman in Kununurra and Perth from 2012 to 2017.

Having completed 3 years of a Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitter at Rio Tinto and Macmahon Contractors, Josh has also worked as a Team Leader – Process Plant for Rio Tinto, Argyle Diamond Mine between 2005 and 2010.

In addition to managing the Dadaru Group of companies, Josh is an active member of the East Kimberley community, is the Vice Chair of the Balanggarra Aboriginal Corporation and current coach of the Port Wyndham Crocs Football Club.

TOBY LEWISPROJECT MANAGER
I have worked at the Argyle Diamond Mine as a process plant operator in a high-pressure environment where I completed a cert II in Metalliferous Mining. I was responsible for the High-Pressure Rolls Crusher and maintaining throughput of ore.
Experience in managing work crews to meet production targets. In my role as a Supervisor for Cross-Country Contractors I was responsible for 24hr Transhipment operation with alternating day/night shift rosters from ship to ship. The Production loading of a ship was scheduled around the tidal movement otherwise demurrage penalties applied if deadline was missed. Worked in high pressure situations and have experience working to a Production schedule.

Preserves role as a crane operator at the ConocoPhillips LNG Plant I have proven my ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure, whilst understanding the importance of meeting ship loading schedules for an international LNG provider.

Throughout my career I have been consistently praised for my great work ethic, this is something I pride myself on and continue to strive to apply and improve. I have a big focus on health and safety which I maintain an incident free career and have utmost respect for.
