Too often in the past, Aboriginal people have been compelled to leave the lands they are connected with to seek employment opportunities. This can lead to a loss of cultural affiliation and continuity, including the disappearance of languages, dance, lore and learning so important for the continuation of Aboriginal culture.

The vision of Dadaru is to provide local employment opportunities and the training, skills development and mentoring necessary to making the most of them, to young people in Indigenous communities across Australia.

Beyond that, our commitment to maintaining and celebrating Aboriginal cultures includes providing time and opportunities for our Aboriginal workforce to participate in cultural events and education, and to deepen and enhance their connection to their land and culture.

Our work in the fields of Environmental and Heritage Services allows Dadaru to play a direct role in the preservation and continuation of Aboriginal culture and the land that is central to it, and is a source of great pride for all of us.
